SPRINGER NATURE WILL PUBLISH THE PROCEEDINGS

It is planned to publish the peer reviewed and selected papers of conference as proceedings with Springer in their prestigious "Transactions on Computer Systems and Networks" series https://www.springer.com/series/16657 . For detailed instructions for author and editors of conference proceedings, kindly visit the following link: https://www.springer.com/us/authors-editors/conference-proceedings Select papers from the conference will be published by Springer as a proceedings book volume. Springer will conduct quality checks on the accepted papers and only papers that pass these checks will be published. Springer Nature does not charge any money for publications of Non-Open content. Abstracts/extended abstracts and short papers (less than 4 pages) are not considered for publications.

THE GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

The general guidelines for authors to help those intending to submit and present a paper are as follows.


1. Papers should reflect the scope of the conference: "
Knowledge Sharing, ICT Management, New Education Policy 2020, Digital Repository, Indian Knowledge System, Library and Research Ecosystem, Library-Faculty Relationships, and User-centric Services".


2. Abstract along with the full paper need to be submitted for approval to the Editorial Board by the date announced (i.e 7th March, 2023). You can use the on-line submission mode or sent it through e-mail attachement on ical2023@admin.du.ac.in. Please use caption: SUBM

3. The Abstract and Paper should confirm the following guidelines:

  • They should be single-spaced, A4 page size, 12 point font size, Times New Roman font type, in Word or RTF format;

4.A Conference paper consists of:

  • Title of the paper

  • Name(s) of author/s, their Institution, city and country

  • Abstract of approximately 200 words, summarizing the presentation along with key words

  • Full text

5. The minimum length is 3 pages and the maximum length of papers is 10 pages (single-spaced A4).


6. The layout of the "title page" will be created by the Publication Committee of the ICAL, according to the data delivered and files will be created to be used for online accessibility and the production of the CD-ROM.


7. If you are presenting a paper you are required to submit Power Point Presentation with the paper


8. Papers may be written and presented in English, as the Conference does not have any provision for interpreters.


9. If the author wishes to submit the paper in other than English language, the same should be accompanied along with English version as the large audience is from the English speaking/ understanding countries.


10. Please avoid using unexplained acronyms, sets of initials, jargon and phrases, which an international audience may not understand.


11. For publication on this website, the full text of the paper with abstract must be submitted to the editorial board online or through e-mail no later than 7th March, 2023. Then it can also be included on the conference CD-ROM and posted online.


12. Papers submitted after this date will not be posted online until after the conference. They will not be included in the CD-ROM. Conference participants will therefore not be able to print them out at the conference. Speakers are therefore urged to comply with this deadline.


13. The ICAL has first publication rights to papers presented at the conference. The quality of our conference as a whole vitally depends on the relevance and interest of the papers, together with the standard of presentation.

Peer Review Guidelines  

The Conference invites abstracts along with full paper in the prescribed format in one go only. The full paper will be reviewed by the reviewers appointed by the Editorial Board for acceptance /modifications/rejection as per following guidelines. 

1. The paper must be relevant to the theme and sub-themes of the Conference; 

2. Proposals which reflects Case Studies; State of the Art; Review Papers; Specific Proposals; Current Trends etc. 

3. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director, subject to its acceptance); 

4. Papers contributing proposals for developing academic library vision, road map for repositioning academic libraries to the centre stage of higher education system, or contributing new ideas on the theme of the Conference would be given preference for publication in the conference volume. 

5. Perceived impact of output and results as communicated in the full paper. 

6. Papers developed through Survey method, case study, analytical study (e.g. literature survey) will be given high preference. Authors have been advised to avoid contributing papers developed through historical studies.

 Submission Preparation Checklist

1.  The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).

2.   The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF document file format.

3.   All URL addresses in the text are activated and ready to click.

4.   The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

5.   The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.

6.  If submitting to a peer-reviewed track of the conference, authors' names are removed from submission, with "Author" and year used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of authors' name, paper title, etc.

7.  If submitting to peer review, all Microsoft Office documents (including Supplementary Files) have been saved by going to File and selecting Save As; clicking Tools (or Options in a Mac); clicking Security; selecting "Remove personal information from file properties on save"; clicking Save.

Authors who submit to this conference agree to the following terms:

a) Authors retain copyright over their work, while allowing the conference to place this unpublished work under a Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows others to freely access, use, and share the work, with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and its initial presentation at this conference.
b) Authors are able to waive the terms of the CC license and enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution and subsequent publication of this work (e.g., publish a revised version in a journal, post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial presentation at this conference.
c) In addition, authors are encouraged to post and share their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) at any point after the conference.

IMPORTANT

The conference will maintain its proceedings of high standard and hence would evaluate each and every paper in accordance with the international standards. Hence, all stakeholders who would like to participate in the conference by contributing their valuable knowledge are advised to go through the CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK to understand the thrust areas on which the conference intends to deliberate and accordingly make a choice of the relevant theme.
