Dr. D V Singh is presently working as University Librarian. Prior to joining University of Delhi he has served as University Librarian in Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, as Librarian at prestigious Shri Ram college of Commerce, University of Delhi. He was the President of Indian Library Association (ILA) (2010-2013), which represents India's Library profession. He has also served ILA as Sr. Vice President (2007-2010) and General Secretary (2002-2007). He is Member of National Book Promotion Council of Department of Higher Education, Government of India since Oct. 2011. He is an active Member of well-known Raja Ram Mohan Library Foundation. At Bureau of Indian Standards, New Delhi he was member of Documentation and Information Sectional Committee (2001-2007) and also Member, National Committee for World Book Capital.
He has published 19 research papers on various subjects relating to digitisation, automation, IT and multimedia application, management and transformational leadership in libraries. Apart from being Editor/ Editor-in-Chief of twelve volumes, he was also on the board of refereed business Journal, Business Analyst. He has authored seven books on academic library system. He has translated IFLA Public Library Guidelines and BLISc Course materials of Indira Gandhi National Open University, Delhi into Hindi.
He completed his Ph. D on Transformational Leadership and Change Management creating much applauded insights into how change needs to be managed in today's dynamic environment. Earlier he did M.A. in Ancient Indian History from Gurukul Kangri University in First Division and M. Lib. Sc. from Kurukshetra University. As a part of his personal update program to keep abreast of latest developments in the profession and broadening his horizon he has completed courses in Record Management from National Archives of India (1990) and PG Diploma in Digital Library and Information Management from Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai (2010).
He was also the Member of Academic Council, University of Delhi, the highest body of the University on academic matters. He was also member of Admission Committee of Faculty of Medical Sciences and Homoeopathic Medicines Admission committee. Recognising his administrative capabilities he has been given the responsibility of managing the hostel of Shri Ram college of Commerce since 2006, longest stint so far for this job for anyone in the College. Recognising his services to the profession he was awarded Best College Librarian Award (2000), Promoter of ILA Award (2000) and Gidwani Deshpandey Best Academic Librarian Award (2009).
He has visited England, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, Indonesia and studied nineteen libraries in U K such as Oxford, LSE etc.

Dr.Tariq Ashraf obtained MA degree in Political science from Hindu College, University of Delhi and holds PG and Doctoral degrees in Library & Information Science from Department of Library & Information Science, University of Delhi. He is currently heading the South Campus Library of University of Delhi, and has earlier worked as Librarian at Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, IILM, and Centre For Policy Research, New Delhi.
Dr. Ashraf has contributed nearly 30 research papers to various national and international journals and has published with IGI Global & IILR, among others.
Among his 8 books, a three volume documentation of India's Parliamentary elections since their inception in 1952 till the last election held in year 2014, has been recognized by researchers, policy makers, psephologist and media persons as one of outstanding documentation in the area election studies.
He has been member of Editorial Boards of several prestigious publications like Fortune Journal of International Management, ILA Bulletin, , MANLIBNET Review and currently, Journal of Library Management, New Delhi.
Dr.Ashraf is founder member of MANLIBNET, a board member of SLA-Asian Chapter since year 2009 and Treasurer of Asian Libraries Association , New Delhi.
Dr. Ashraf is a twice winner of international paper contest held by Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIST) in year 2003 & 2009. He is also recipient of Distinguished Member award by B&F Division of SLA in year 2013.
Dr.Ashraf has travelled to USA, Japan, UAE, Singapore, HongKong, Philippines, Germany, Italy and South Korea on various professional grants.

Mr. Singh's area of interest and specialization includes Information Literacy and Competency, WWW Resources, Online Search Techniques, Meta/Federated Searching, Citation Analysis databases and Research metrics etc.
With a view to promote understanding and usage of E-resources, Mr. Singh Initiated and regularly conducting the innovative Information Literacy Program in Delhi University Campus as well as in the colleges; developed online Information Literacy (IL) tutorial, available at http://crl.du.ac.in/ot/; build up an IL training centre funded by DIT, Govt. of India; Developed syllabus based electronic resource capsules for P.G. students for various departments; and Developed Information Literacy curriculum.
Mr. Singh is a true modern day librarian. He is regularly researching the open access electronic resources through the web and promoting their use in teaching, learning and research. The lists of open access resources are available at http://crl.du.ac.in/oa/index.htm. He has started 24x7 Virtual Reference Service with Ask your Librarian facility. With a view to provide e-journal title access across the databases he has developed in house Searchable A-Z List of E-Journals available at http://crl.du.ac.in/atozn. He has also designed 'Subject Portal' to help new entrants to the university.
Mr. Singh is a good orator and a wonderful trainer in use of ICT and e-resources in Teaching, learning and research. He has delivered invited lectures and keynote addresses in various National and International Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, Orientation Courses, Refresher Courses and other Faculty Development Programs. |

Mr. R.P. Singh, Assistant Librarian (Selection Grade), joined the Delhi University Library System as Professional Assistant in 1982 after completing M.Sc.(Physics) and M.Lib.Sc. He was promoted to Assistant Librarian in 1986 and worked in modern European Languages Library, Slavonic and Finno-Ugrian Library, South Campus Library, Law Faculty Library as Incharge and Central Science Library. At present he is in Central Library. He has attended a number of conferences and seminars of his professional interest and is a life member of Indian Library Association. |

Pal Singh, Assistant Librarian in DULS presently working South Campus Library. Initially Dr. Singh started his career as Documentation
Assistant in National Informatics Centre, Government of India. w.e.f.
6th May 1981. After that Dr. Singh left the NIC and joined the
IIT, New Delhi Library as Senior Library Assistant w.e.f.
18/02/1982. On 30/05/1982 Dr. Singh joined DULS as Professional Assistant. He
has worked in different libraries of DULS as Arts Library,
Braille Library, Central Library, Department of Zoology Library and
