With a view to empower the students, researchers and faculty members to serve, evaluate, use and create information effectively and efficiently and to achieve their educational, social, occupational and personal goals, Delhi University Library System (DULS) has started Information Literacy activities since, 2006. In the year 2007, the Department of Information Technology, Govt. of India, recognizing the importance of such programs, has extended ample financial support to run the program and create an Information Literacy Training Centre to impart the hands on training to the students, teachers, faculty members and library staff. Presently the following Information Literacy activities are carried out at University of Delhi:
