RULES AND REGULATIONS (AMENDED)
PREAMBLE
The rules and regulations regarding the use of the Libraries under the Delhi University Library System (DULS) have been amended with a view to provide better library services and other facilities and also to maintain general discipline. Since, the DULS is inclined to reach a large number of users with legitimate borrowing facilities and other library services, it was important to make necessary changes in the existing rules and regulations. The DULS is likely to introduce the Integrated Online Membership and Circulation System (IOMCS) in phases. Till then the manual system of membership and circulation activities will continue.
Under this programme the bona-fide user of the Library will be entitled to obtain the single membership that is given with a view to expand the usage of the library reading materials by the academic community irrespective of the subject/ discipline being pursued and the users will be entitled to use the resources of all the major libraries of DULS. The issue and return facility will be handled through Integrated Online Circulation System by the respective libraries and the bonafide member will be given a unique User ID with password including requisite slots indicating number of books one is entitled to borrow.
